The new tools are designed to automate routine processes and improve throughput for mass spectrometry workflows.
SCIEX, a Danaher company, announced new solutions at the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM) meeting designed to help clinical laboratories improve productivity and control. The company introduced the ExionLC MD system and SCIEX OS software for the clinical portfolio to automate routine processes and simplify workflows.
The SCIEX OS software platform includes integrated automation features such as review-by-exception, dynamic carryover mitigation, and automated reinjection. These tools are designed to reduce manual intervention and support the delivery of results for patient care. The software also features data management tools including audit trails, electronic signatures, and secure role-based user controls to support data integrity and audit readiness.
The ExionLC MD system provides high-performance ultra-high performance liquid chromatography separation for clinical workflows. Designed to work with the Citrine system and the SCIEX 4500MD system, the system provides a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry solution.
Key features of the hardware include high-pressure chromatography to accelerate throughput and sub-2-micron column technology for improved analytical sensitivity. The system also uses integrated switching valve technology to support trap-and-elute methods, which can reduce sample preparation and minimize maintenance.

Both the software and the liquid chromatography system are expected to be available later this year.
