Precision BioLogic is highlighting the role of chromogenic assays in accurately measuring factor VIII as new hemophilia therapies advance toward FDA approval.
Precision BioLogic is reporting increased demand for its hemostasis diagnostic products as clinical laboratories prepare for emerging hemophilia treatments. This interest follows the submission of Mim8, a next generation bispecific antibody for hemophilia A, to the Food and Drug Administration by Novo Nordisk.
The company is highlighting the utility of its CRYOcheck Chromogenic Factor VIII assay, which is designed to measure factor VIII in the presence of extended half-life replacement products and emerging bispecific antibodies.
“There’s a growing awareness of the need for chromogenic assays, and we’re here to ensure coagulation labs are ready and able to deliver accurate results,” says Paul Empey, CEO of Precision BioLogic, in a release.
Research Presentations at ISTH 2026
At the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) 2026 meeting in Paris, the company presented scientific posters regarding its research capabilities. One presentation detailed an automated lupus anticoagulant assay resistant to anticoagulant drugs, including direct oral anticoagulants and oral FXI inhibitors.
A second poster examined the impact of heat-stable factor VIII mimetics and replacement therapies on inhibitor titer using a modified Nijmegen-Bethesda test across bovine chromogenic factor VIII assays.
Collaborations and Industry Engagement
Precision BioLogic is collaborating with its subsidiaries, Affinity Biologicals and George King Bio-Medical, to support the global hemostasis community. Following the ISTH meeting, the team showcased manufacturing capabilities and custom solutions at the Association for Diagnostics and Laboratory Medicine 2026 meeting in Anaheim, California.
The company also participated in the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation Bleeding Disorders Conference in Orlando, Florida. During the event, George King Bio-Medical met with health care professionals, advocates, and researchers to discuss the role of plasma donation in advancing diagnosis and treatment for bleeding disorders.
The three organizations continue to work together to provide products, service, and innovation for hemostasis clinicians and researchers, according to the company.
