Incorporating a combination of optical and electrode technology, the Stat Profile pHOx Plus Analyzer integrates a 10-test critical care menu into a small analyzer.
For a comprehensive picture of lung function and oxygen status, the analyzer provides oxygen saturation (SO2%), hematocrit and hemoglobin in addition to the standard blood gas menu of pH, pCO2 and pO2. In addition, the analyzer incorporates glucose, sodium, potassium, and a choice of ionized calcium or chloride to provide the essential test menu for the ICU, OR, ED or stat lab.
The analyzer has a small footprint (12" W x 15" D), and it incorporates a liquid-only calibration system that eliminates bulky compressed tanks, gas regulators, gas tubing lines and humidifiers. An automated quality control system is contained within a single on-board control cartridge. To promote blood conservation, the analyzer measures the full 10-test menu with 100µL of whole blood.
When used in conjunction with this company’s Patient Data Management System, the analyzer can provide complete process automation from creation of test orders and accession numbers to LIS/HIS interface for data capture.
