On July 16, Roche announced a mobile blood gas analyzer, the cobras b 123 POC system. The device, to be used for hospital point-of-care settings, virtually eliminates the introduction of blood clots. It’s mobile cart is capable of functioning in a variety of locations, from patient floor to intensive floor. In addition, the incorporation of removable smart chips allows for transferring between devices, which helps limit material and labor costs.
