The integration aims to address data volume management and standardization challenges in digital pathology workflows.

Proscia, a pathology AI company, has integrated its Concentriq platform with Amazon Web Services (AWS) HealthImaging to provide laboratories and life sciences organizations with cloud-native capabilities for managing whole slide image data at enterprise scale.

The integration combines Proscia’s pathology AI platform with AWS HealthImaging, a HIPAA-eligible service designed for storing, analyzing, and sharing whole slide images in the cloud at petabyte scale. The collaboration addresses two key challenges in digital pathology: managing increasing data volumes and standardizing siloed data across organizations.

Concentriq, delivered as software-as-a-service on AWS, supports pathology workflows from drug discovery to diagnostics. The platform combines workflows, interoperability, and AI capabilities with enterprise-grade security, storage optimization, and scalability features.

“Expanding our collaboration with AWS through the AWS HealthImaging integration builds on the success we’ve collectively achieved in helping leading laboratories and life sciences organizations scale AI in pathology,” says Coleman Stavish, CTO of Proscia, in a release. “It reinforces our commitment to interoperability and DICOM standardization while empowering customers to harness the latest cloud services to advance precision medicine.”

AWS Partnership Expansion

The AWS HealthImaging integration builds on Proscia’s existing collaboration with AWS as a member of the AWS Partner Network. Currently, 70% of Proscia customers run Concentriq on AWS, achieving implementations up to five times faster and lowering total cost of ownership compared to legacy or on-premises systems, according to the company.

The integration supports DICOM standardization, which is critical for interoperability across different pathology systems and workflows. Pathology data informs up to 70% of clinical decisions, according to NHS England research, making standardized access and analysis capabilities essential for healthcare organizations.
