Capt. Mark Kelly, commander of space shuttle Endeavor’s final mission, was the keynote speaker at the Beckman Coulter Inc booth.
Capt. Kelly, who has had prostate cancer, spoke about his career and the importance of diagnostic testing in prostate cancer management. Specifically, Kelly spoke about Beckman Coulter‘s FDA-approved Prostate Prostate Health Index (phi) non-invasive blood test. Phi helps physicians distinguish prostate cancer from benign disease while reducing the number of negative prostate biopsies.
