Premier Medical Laboratory Services (PMLS), Greenville, SC, has been validated for covid-19 testing. The laboratory is increasing its testing capacity of 1,000 tests per day with plans to reach 28,000 per week in the coming weeks. Now available to hospitals and physicians’ offices throughout the United States, the PMLS test was developed under guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for patient testing under FDA’s policy on diagnostic tests for coronavirus disease-2019.
PMLS expects that results of the molecular diagnostic tests will be provided within 24 to 48 hours.
