The ALC PM140 (ventilated) and PM140R (refrigerated) benchtop centrifuges are designed to handle large batches of clinical samples. The standard rotor and buckets can handle 120 5mL-blood tubes, 76 10mL-blood tubes and 16 50mL-conical tubes.
Both centrifuges are designed for operator convenience. The control system uses dials for continuous adjustment of speed, time and temperature. Two braking rates are available to accommodate sensitive samples. Safety is assured through features such as dual-lid interlock, armored-guard barrier ring and automatic imbalance detection and shut down.
In addition, sealed buckets are available to completely contain biological hazards. These special buckets are certified by CAMR-Porton Down for complete aerosol containment.
