The LAP4100 Print-and-Apply Label Applicator consists of a thermal transfer printer and a fixed-position label applicator mechanism.
The modular applicator mechanism has an attach/detach feature so printer swapout is fast. The printer-applicator can function in a semi-automated or fully automated format and includes a vacuum sensor that automatically senses the presence of a label, stops the operation and notifies the operator. This reduces the rework associated with mis-labeled items or items without labels.
The applicator uses a positive, tamp-on action to ensure complete and consistent adhesion to the item. It is capable of placing labels with an accuracy of +/-0.4mm (0.015”). Because it is a swing-tamp applicator, it can be mounted for vertical, horizontal or bottom-up label application.
