The TwinBin is a two-bin storage system that works by storing reserve stock above active stock. Once the active stock has been depleted, users pull a slider to release the reserve batch, leaving the upper bin ready for new stock. A flag device allows users to see at a glance which TwinBins need refilling.
When the slider is pulled a red flag is displayed, making it easy for personnel to see which supplies need to be reordered. The appropriate personnel can set the flag to yellow, so everyone knows that the third batch is on the way. The TwinBin system will save users time, money, and effort, while controlling supply inventory. Users can reduce stock-outs and have true first-in/first-out stock rotation.
