The software’s central database houses technologist and workstation criteria so that each technologist can be marked as available, on-call, off or ill. Workstations can be marked as functioning, down for maintenance or down for repair.
This software accommodates administrative structures by enabling either a single operator to schedule aspects of the laboratory from the central database, or multiple operators to share the database, scheduling only the departments for which they are responsible. It also can maintain a technologist’s proficiencies for an unlimited number of workstations. It can change with the shifting requirements of a laboratory and schedule laboratory service employees. Schedules may be viewed or printed in a variety of formats. Medical Automation Systems
