The products are intended for use in the calibration of quantitative assays performed on Abbott’s Architect i series of clinical laboratory analyzers, simulating human patient samples. The products are replacing the discontinued Linearity FD Immunoassay Abbott Architect i series (order no. K831M-5). The new Linearity FD Thyroid Abbott Architect i series (order no. K832M-5) consists of two sets of five levels that demonstrate a linear relationship to each other when assayed for free T3, free T4, total T3, and total T4. The product has an open-vial stability of 5 days when stored at 2–8°C. The new Linearity FD Immunoassay Abbott Architect i series (order no. K833M-5) consists of five levels that demonstrate a linear relationship to each other when assayed for carcinoembryonic antigen, ferritin, folate, follicle-stimulating hormone, free prostate-specific antigen (PSA), luteinizing hormone, progesterone, prolactin, testosterone, total PSA, thyroid-stimulating hormone, and vitamin B12.
