Cliniqa has channeled its proprietary liquid-stabilization technology into the production of two Liquid QC™ cardiac marker controls. These three-level human serum-based controls with excellent refrigerated stability are stored chilled at 2-8°C and are ready to use straight out of the refrigerator. Analytes include CK-MB, myoglobin, troponin I, troponin T, hsCRP, digoxin, and hCG. This product for laboratory QC programs has a 2-year shelf life, seven analytes, and no expensive shipping and storage requirements.
The standard cardiac marker control product is designed for use on Abbott Axsym; Dade Behring Dimension and Stratus; Bayer Advia, Centaur, and ACS; Beckman Coulter Access; Roche Elecsys and Integra; and Tosoh AIA. A specific platform formulation of cardiac marker control designed specifically for low-level troponin applications also includes NT-proBNP.
Cliniqa and Vitro are cofounders of “The Quality Alliance,” which was formed to provide a range of innovative quality-control products and peer-review software through common distribution channels in Europe, the United States, and Asia. Cliniqa and Vitro are jointly marketing InterQC. The software is Web-based and can be used with any control product, instrument, or reagent combination. An added benefit is that there is no need for resident software to be installed in the laboratory. The software is completely automated with many options for rule settings, custom manual parameters, and reports.
