Ductless fume box enclosures from Air Science, Ft. Myers, Fla, are designed to protect the user during low-volume chemical manipulations by effectively containing low concentrations of noxious chemical fumes, vapors, and powders. Advanced carbon filtration technology offers a safe, high-performance alternative to conventional ducted fume hoods for a broad range of applications.
The low-profile fume boxes are portable and require no ductwork. Their compact size enables the fume boxes to be placed on shallow countertops or counters with overhanging wall cabinets. Modular design suits multiple configurations.
Additional features include rocker on/off switch controls, a chemical-resistant steel frame coated with epoxy for added mechanical strength, and an enclosed filtration chamber with main filters made of either carbon or HEPA/ULPA components to suit containment needs. An electrostatic prefilter is 91% effective and can be reached from inside the chamber to contain the release of any trapped particulates.
Cabinets are white with blue trim. Side and back panels are clear to allow ambient light into the chamber and provide users with all-around visibility. The enclosures meet or exceed OSHA, ANSI, and relevant international standards. All models are made of either metal or polypropylene in a range of specifications and dimensions. They’re available in 120v/60Hz and 230v/50Hz models.
