Abbott Diagnostics, Abbott Park, Ill, has introduced a technology platform to help hospitals make the best use of the huge amount of untapped data produced by clinical laboratories.
The AlinIQ integrated platform is intended to help US hospitals improve patient care by bringing together data across the hospital system, instead of solely looking at lab data, then developing customized solutions that address the unique needs of that hospital and its healthcare providers. By gathering datasets across the continuum of care from diagnostics labs, clinical staff, and elsewhere, new insights can be developed that allow care teams to make more informed, rapid decisions related to operational performance, quality assurance, and clinical care.
