Verichem Laboratories offers clinical laboratory professionals an extensive selection of ready-to-use, liquid stable carbon dioxide (CO2) reference materials. The five-level standard kit, along with the optional Level F, are intended for calibration and/or calibration verification of clinical systems and are suited for use with both ion selective electrode (ISE), and “wet” testing methodologies. These materials are designed to meet the needs of a wide variety of laboratorians, including those performing routine diagnostic testing, clinical research applications, and in the development and manufacturing of in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) products.

Designed to support overall system QC and CLIA compliance, all materials meet the necessary CLIA requirements for verification materials with known values in the determination of a clinical system’s accuracy, sensitivity, linearity, and reportable range. Plus, the materials offer universal compatibility with a wide variety of clinical testing systems, including those from Abbott Laboratories, Beckman Coulter, Horiba Medical, Roche Diagnostics, Siemens Healthcare, and many others. The complete six (6) level set of materials encompasses a definitive offering of CO2 reference standards, as concentration levels range from 5.0 mmol/L up to 50.0 mmol/L.

Verichem Laboratories’ carbon dioxide (CO2) reference standards are packaged in ready-to-use, translucent polyethylene dropper vials, with a fifteen milliliter (15.0mL) fill of each concentration level. The liquid stable format is free of glycols, surfactants, azides, and other interfering substances and is prepared from pure reagent grade source materials; with each concentration level verified using sodium carbonate alkalimetric standard, meeting the reagent grade designation as specified by the American Chemical Society (ACS). In addition, all these carbon dioxide (CO2) reference materials feature open-vial stability (15 months), display negligible lot-to-lot variation, and contains a certificate of analysis (COA) within each kit which includes traceability data for the particular lot.
