Precure will integrate genomic, proteomic, and longitudinal clinical data to identify biological signals that emerge before disease symptoms.
Mayo Clinic and founding partner Thermo Fisher Scientific have launched Precure LLC, a joint venture designed to integrate proteomic, genomic, and longitudinal clinical data from one million biospecimens to detect biological signals before clinical symptoms emerge, according to a press release from Mayo Clinic.
The newly formed entity aims to assemble a population-scale biomedical dataset to support discovery across disease biology, clinical diagnostics, and therapeutics. According to the announcement, the initiative connects molecular information with clinical records gathered over multiple years within a standardized framework. Advanced AI and large-scale data analytics will be deployed to identify patterns in the multi-omics data and translate findings into clinical laboratory applications.
The organizations reported that linking molecular markers to long-term patient records is intended to advance earlier diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and individualized care across several disease categories, including cancer, cardiometabolic disease, neurological disorders, and immune-mediated disease.

Multi-Omics Scale and Partnership Structure
Mayo Clinic will serve as the majority owner of Precure LLC while Thermo Fisher Scientific joins as a minority owner.
The corporate entity is structured to complement Precure Research, an investigator-led scientific initiative at Mayo Clinic focused on identifying the biological processes that occur as individuals shift from health to disease. While the research arm focuses on early signal discovery, Precure LLC is designed to supply the technical infrastructure, operational scale, and industry collaborations required to generate high-volume molecular data and facilitate the development of diagnostic tests and therapies.

Mayo Clinic indicated that its participation aligns with its nonprofit mission, noting that any financial returns generated through Precure LLC will be reinvested into patient care, research, and education.
