CMS now offers laboratories an online option to pay CLIA certification fees through a secure platform hosted by the Treasury Department.
Online payments are processed overnight, substantially faster than hard-copy checks, which can take up to 10 business days to process.
To access the online system, enter the following hyperlink in a browser: https://pay.gov/public/form/start/55598674. Laboratories can also access the payment platform through the CLIA Program website.
Laboratories will need to enter:
- The CLIA ID number included on their invoice
- A debit card, credit card, or bank routing number
