American Esoteric Laboratories (AEL), a mid-south independent provider of esoteric and clinical laboratory services, has acquired the assets of Bridger Laboratories, Montgomery, Ala.
Through the acquisition, AEL will offer expanded services to Bridger’s client base of physicians and hospitals and will maintain 37 full time lab professionals and employees. AEL’s acquisition includes three facilities including a lab and patient service center in Montgomery and a lab in Prattville, Ala.
Current clients of Bridger Laboratories can expect enhanced services as the company will introduce electronic results reporting, electronic order entry, EMR interfaces, and EMR support in the area. AEL offers physicians a large testing menu and same day results on all routine testing. Through its lab and headquarters in Memphis, Tenn, AEL conducts additional advanced testing. Alabama Pathology Associates will continue to serve in partnership with AEL as the lab’s medical director and provider of professional pathology services.
