The high-volume AU5400 analyzer, recently cleared by the FDA, meets the needs of high-volume commercial and hospital core labs.
The AU5400 automates and consolidates chemistry-immuno testing with up to 147 onboard chemistries and performs up to 6,600 tests per hour. It is designed to upgrade and replace Olympus AU5200 analyzers used in the majority of large commercial laboratories.
The AU5400 is available in a two-module configuration, the AU5421, and a three module configuration, the AU5431. The system incorporates an integrated track system to route samples to the modules for simultaneous processing.
The discrete, random access system uses precision reagent pipetting to eliminate reagent priming. Its multi-module design offers up to 147 onboard general and special chemistry tests. It also incorporates probe crash prevention and sample clot detection.
All AU systems offer a 122-test menu featuring general and special chemistries, urine methods, TDMs, DAUs and thyroid assays. Liquid barcoded reagents are manufactured at this company’s ISO 9001-registered facility
The system runs on Windows NT software. Operator training and system maintenance are available online with context-sensitive Help functions and video clips. Modem-linked technical support is available 24/7. CLIA, NCCLS and CAP compliance is supported by software documentation QC features.
