The MicroLog Dangerous Pathogen (DP) Database Supplement allows labs the capability to identify a number of important pathogenic bacteria.
In recent years there has been increased international attention on the potential use of dangerous pathogens as biological weapons. This product helps microbiologists identify and characterize the organisms that public health officials have deemed as being of primary important in bioterrorism monitoring.
The database is used with this company’s MicroLog Microbial Identification/Characterization system to identify Bacillus anthracis, Brucella melitensis, Yersinia pestis, Francisella tularenis, Burkholderia mallei, and Burkholderia pseudomallei. The current system allows microbiologists to accurately identify more than 1,400 species/genera of anaerobic bacteria and yeast.
