The new PRIMA 60 and PRIMA 85 direct-cast, lateral- flow nitrocellulose membranes for diagnostic assays offer, respectively, flow rates of 60 and 85 seconds across 4 cm of membrane. The fact that all PRIMA raw materials and surfactants are included in the casting solution produces a uniquely homogenous membrane. Also, the membranes are cast directly on a polystyrene backing, eliminating potential contamination from common bonding adhesives.
