Former Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine, the Democratic nominee for election to the US Senate, and Sen. Mark Warner recently visited Health Diagnostic Laboratory Inc, Richmond, Va (HDL). They were there to discuss current affairs as part of a series of employee "town hall" meetings hosted by the laboratory. The health care-focused discussion comes after a similar meeting with HDL employees in August with former Gov. George Allen, Kaine’s Republican opponent in the November election.

Gov. Kaine and Sen. Warner allotted time for a Q&A session to allow laboratory employees to voice their questions and comments regarding current political issues surrounding the health care industry. Before the town hall meeting, Gov. Kaine and Sen. Warner participated in a guided tour of HDL.

HDL, which serves approximately 10,000 physicians and 1 million patients, will continue to invite policy makers to tour the growing laboratory as part of its non-partisan series of employee "town hall" meetings.
