Silencer S2110 Stat

Brushless centrifuge
Global Focus Marketing & Distribution Ltd, Dallas, introduces the new brushless Silencer® S2110 Stat, which features a 6,000 rpm (4,915 x g) 45° rotor. The centrifuge has an acceleration time of 20 seconds to maximum speed, and a deceleration time of 60 seconds. The rotor accommodates 24 blood tubes from 3 ml (10 mm x 75 mm) to 5 ml (13 mm x 75 mm). The unit meets CLSI (formerly NCCLS) processing requirements for platelet-poor plasma separation with a 5-minute processing time. The unit can be used to shorten serum separation times, and in two studies, platelet counts below 10,000 were achieved with a processing time of 3 minutes.
