GE Healthcare has launched its newest version of the Centricity Laboratory Information System (LIS) designed to automate and integrate laboratory processes.
The software version 4.0 is designed to handle high-volume test processing at a mid- to large-size lab or multi-hospital facility and comes with a new transfusion medicine module, new quality control module, and additional safety features.
The transfusion medicine module provides full inventory management, patient and donor testing, and electronic documentation for all blood bank activities.
