photoThis Microalbumin Control Set is intended as a means of monitoring various Microalbumin assay methods to validate quantitation of patient samples.
Microalbumin is a condition characterized by increased urinary excretion of albumin in the absence of overt nephopathy. Microalbumin has been reported in several studies to predict development of diabetic nephropathy and its mortality risk in diabetic patients. Because microalbumin may be reversible if diabetes is well controlled, the early detection of it may be beneficial in treatment programs for diabetes.
These controls are provided in two levels, 3 x 7 ml each level per kit. They are ready-to-use liquids requiring no reconstitution or dilution. They are prepared and fortified to target levels with human Albumin and Creatinine.
When stored at 2-8ÞC, the controls remain stable until the expiration date stated on the vial. They have a stability of six months after opening. The kit is provided in a 6 x 7 ml configuration.
