This company and International Health Management Associates, have developed the Surveillance Data Link Network to track antimicrobial susceptibility and emerging resistance. Through this subscription service, microbiologists gain Internet access to a 2.5 million-recorddatabase dating from 1993. Drug-bug results from more than 1,200 facilities worldwide are featured. This data then can be compared with a laboratory’s integrated internal data, and reports can be created to reflect a variety of desired parameters. The program offers designations such as total percent susceptibility, MIC50, MIC80, MIC90, frequency distributions and cumulative percent inhibited.
