PolyScience has released a line of large-capacity heating circulators that are designed to provide precise temperature control for a diverse range of applications. The 8200 series heating circulators are available with a choice of three different microprocessor-based controllers, an integrated simplex or duplex pump, and a 28-liter reservoir. The units feature an operating temperature range of ambient +5Þ to 150ÞC, excellent temperature stability, and a large 121¼8- x 103¼8-inch reservoir opening. The company’s redesigned controllers are key to the performance of the 8200 series circulators. The top-of-the-line 8212 circulator features a programmable controller with a bright LCD display, multilanguage help menus, and sophisticated time and temperature programming. Additionally, the machine can store up to 10 50-step programs and offers extensive data-logging capability, including communications support for Microsoft Excel™, National Instruments LabView™, and the Palm™ OS. Other standard features include a five-speed pump suitable for both open- and closed-loop applications and an RS-232 interface. The model 8202, with a digital controller, provides the same temperature control and stability as the programmable model, but without its advanced programming, remote probe, or communications capabilities. It also has a five-speed pump suitable for both open- and closed-loop applications and an RS-232 interface. For applications where temperature set points remain relatively static, the model 8206 with the microprocessor-based standard controller is recommended. It features a bright LED digital display and three user-programmable temperature presets.
