Roche Diagnostics announces  that National Distribution & Contracting Inc (NDC) will help the company manage logistics and administration for distributors of Roche products that are used in physician office laboratories and outpatient clinics, including CoaguChek® anticoagulation monitors and Chemstrip® urine test strips.

Based in Nashville, Tenn, NDC is an elective member service organization representing more than 284 independent healthcare product distributors across North America. In conjunction with Roche, NDC will offer product training, promotional programs, marketing assistance, and other support to current Roche distributors and to other healthcare distribution companies not currently carrying the CoaguChek and Chemstrip product lines.

"This new relationship will significantly expand the resources and dedicated support we can offer to our distributors," said Rod Cotton, Senior Vice President, Professional Diagnostics at Roche. "It will improve the quality of training and the level of marketing and sales support they get, which will, in turn, help them provide better service to the healthcare professionals who use our products. And this enhanced level of service will be provided at little or no additional cost to the distributor or the healthcare providers."

Roche plans to have NDC begin assuming some logistical and administrative responsibilities for distributors as of May 6 and to complete the transition by June 30, 2009.
