To provide a comprehensive picture of lung function and oxygen status, the pHOx Plus C measures oxygen saturation (SO2%) and hematocrit and hemoglobin, in addition to the standard blood gas menu of pH, PCO2, and PO2. The pHOx Plus C also incorporates glucose, sodium, potassium, ionized calcium, and chloride to offer an essential test menu for the ICU, OR, ED, or stat laboratory.

The compact pHOx Plus C Analyzer uses a liquid-only calibration system that eliminates bulky compressed tanks, gas regulators, gas tubing lines, and humidifiers. Moreover, a totally automated quality control system is contained within a single onboard autocartridge QC pack. To promote blood conservation, the pHOx Plus C uses just 125 µL of whole blood to measure the full 11-test menu and only 60 µL of whole blood for a three-test microsample.

When used in conjunction with the Nova Point-of-Care Data Management (PDM) System, the pHOx Plus C Analyzer can provide complete process automation from creation of test orders and accession numbers to interface with laboratory and hospital information systems for data capture. In addition to offering process automation, PDM also allows for satellite analyzers to be remotely managed and controlled from a central location. Calibration, QC, maintenance, and other functions can be initiated from PDM to be performed on any remote analyzer.

With the addition of the Stat Profile pHOx Plus C, Nova Biomedical now offers six models in the Stat Profile pHOx series.
