A circulating bath for industrial, life science, and other demanding thermometry calibration applications is now available from PolyScience. The system consists of a Model 9712 refrigerating/heating circulating bath for calibrating standard-length temperature-measurement devices, plus a 45.7-cm (18-inch) deep companion reservoir for use with immersion thermometers. The system is capable of accommodating up to 30 thermometers, RTDs, thermistors, and thermocouples simultaneously. This versatile calibration system features a -45Þ to 200ÞC operating temperature range, ±0.01ÞC temperature stability, and ±0.25ÞC readout accuracy. To ensure optimum bath-temperature uniformity, an integral duplex pump circulates the bath medium through the system at up to 25 liters per minute. Bath temperature, set point, and other operational data are displayed simultaneously on an easy-to-read graphics display. The PolyScience thermometry-calibration system also offers simple operation. Its controller allows quick one-touch setting of calibration temperature, and also features multistep, multi-temperature-programming capability for more advanced studies and applications. To further ensure calibration integrity, the microprocessor-based controller can be tuned for use with specific bath fluids and volumes. Other standard features on the system include user-adjustable high- and low-temperature limits/alarms, redundant safety thermostat, and RS232 output. Its data-logging capability includes communications support for Microsoft Excel™, National Instruments LabView™, and the Palm™ OS.
