Urine Transport Tubes

Keeps samples for 72 hours before testing

Bio-Medical Products, Mendham, NJ, offers freestanding, urinalysis labeled tubes with yellow color screw caps and a 10-mL fill. Sturdy clear polyproplene shows the visual fill volume, and the inside conical portion is ideal for centrifuging specimens for sediment microscopic examination. Dip stix chemistry, pregnancy tests, drugs-of-abuse tests, and microscopic examinations can be performed on the stabilized samples, which can be maintained at room temperature for up to 72 hours before testing. The buffered preservative maintains a lower pH and prevents bacterial proliferation, helping to prevent false positives readings for occult blood and protein. They are available as 10-mL and 30-mL screw-capped tubes/vials in bags of 25, and come 500 per case.
