The agreement enables access to Medline’s lab products and supply chain solution offerings.
Medline and Springfield, Mo-based CoxHealth have signed an expanded Prime Vendor agreement to include clinical laboratory products and supply chain solution offerings.
The agreement allows CoxHealth to access Medline’s portfolio of lab products across its network of six hospitals and more than 100 locations serving communities in southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas. This expansion builds upon an existing medical-surgical Prime Vendor agreement between the two organizations that has been in place for 13 years.
“For 13 years, Medline has partnered with CoxHealth to help support its supply chain needs, and we’re proud to continue finding new ways to deliver value across the organization,” says Marc Phillips, senior vice president of supply chain solutions at Medline, in a release. “Expanding our relationship to support CoxHealth’s lab operations reflects our commitment to growing alongside the health system and supporting its evolving needs.”
The agreement also provides CoxHealth access to distribution capabilities intended to help streamline deliveries and support operational efficiency within the health system’s laboratory operations, according to the press release.
“As Medline continues to expand its presence and capabilities within the laboratory market, we are excited to strengthen our partnership and leverage their proven distribution expertise,” says John Black, chief supply chain officer at CoxHealth, in a release. “We look forward to utilizing their scale, service, and innovation to support our laboratory operations while delivering long-term value to our health system.”
