The company says its US business combines automated kit manufacturing, fulfillment, sample logistics, and digital workflow technology into a single diagnostic testing platform.

RDi USA Inc announced its launch at the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM) 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo, bringing automated diagnostic kitting, fulfillment, and connected self-sampling capabilities to the US market.

The company aims to help laboratories, diagnostic manufacturers, healthcare providers, and research partners address fragmented infrastructure in diagnostic testing, according to a company release. The business model integrates kit design, component sourcing, automated assembly, patient fulfillment, sample-return logistics, laboratory integration, and digital results delivery.

“An excellent diagnostic test can only deliver its full value when everything around it works,” says David Cahill, Group CEO of RDi, in a release. “The kit must be intuitive, the patient must understand what to do, the sample must move safely and efficiently, the laboratory must receive the right information, and every organization involved must be able to see what is happening across the pathway.”

Automated Production and Quality Control

RDi USA utilizes automated production lines that produce hundreds of thousands of kits per day, according to the company. These kits are assembled and inspected by machines using camera-led validation and artificial intelligence-driven inspection.

The company states that removing manual assembly reduces common errors in diagnostic kits, allowing screening programs to maintain quality as testing volumes increase. To support American customers, RDi is establishing US-based manufacturing and fulfillment capacity, according to the release.

“Too many diagnostic programs are still held back by disconnected suppliers, manual processes, and limited visibility,” says Cahill in a release. “RDi USA has been created to remove that friction.”

Integrated Digital Pathways

The company’s digital technology includes the +CURA pathway platform, which supports patients from the point of a test order through kit activation, sample collection, laboratory processing, and results access. This infrastructure is designed to support various sectors, including population screening, pathology, clinical trials, and occupational health.

The company’s specific capabilities include:

  • Custom diagnostic and specimen-collection kit design,
  • Automated assembly and quality-controlled kitting,
  • Direct-to-patient and bulk fulfillment,
  • Sample-return and reverse-logistics management,
  • Laboratory and diagnostic-partner integration, and
  • Operational data and real-time pathway visibility.

The expansion into the US follows the company’s experience managing high-volume diagnostic services and national-scale screening pathways in international markets.

“Over many years, we have invested in the automation, processes, and technology required to make complex diagnostic pathways easier to operate and easier to scale,” says Chris Tagg, chief strategy officer at RDi, in a release. “RDi USA allows us to bring those capabilities closer to American customers, while designing the operation specifically around the needs of the US diagnostics market.”
