This company has introduced an application for the Hitachi 911 using this two-part cold-stable reagent for the determination of creatinine.
This method is based on a modification of the Kinetic Jaffe procedure. In the present procedure, surfactants and other ingredients are added to minimize protein and carbohydrate interferences. With these modifications, the creatinine reagent is stable under the refrigerated conditions present in a variety of current chemistry analyzers.
The reagent has been found to be linear to 25mg/dL. A comparison study yielded a correlation coefficient of 0.998 and a regression equation of y=1.09x + 0.02. The reagent is available in a 500mL size with an 18-month shelf life. Applications are available for several chemistry analyzers.
