Dynabeads DNA Direct kits for the direct isolation of PCR-ready genomic DNA uses a 10-minute biomagnetic separation procedure that can be completed in a single tube.
The process of DNA isolation relies on cell lysis to release DNA. Released DNA is absorbed to the surface of the Dynabeads DNA Direct. This is followed by magnetic separation of the intact DNA/Dynabeads DNA Direct complex and brief washing to eliminate residual contaminants and potential PCR inhibitors. The complex is then resuspended for direct use in downstream PCR amplifications.
Dynabeads DNA Direct System I kit provides the reagents needed for the isolation of PCR-ready DNA directly from small quantities of sample material such as clinical specimens, cultured cells and tissues from various species. This system is available in two sizes, an introductory 100-sample test kit and a larger 250-sample test kit. Each isolation performed has a minimum capacity of 200ng DNA.
The System II kit provides the reagents needed for the isolation of PCR-ready genomic DNA directly from whole blood. This system is sufficient for 100 isolations. Each isolation provides enough DNA for at least 100 PCR amplifications.
