Kamiya Biomedical Co has introduced a new K-ASSAY® high-sensitive microalbumin reagent for the quantitative determination of microalbumin in urine. Microalbumin has been used as a marker for diabetic kidney damage, and it recently has been linked to cardiovascular diseases. The reagent was developed for use on most chemistry analyzers, including Roche/Hitachi, Olympus AU, Beckman Synchron, and Abbott Aeroset. Reagents are in ready-to-use liquid form and do not require mixing, dilution, or any sample preparation. This assay reagent features excellent sensitivity, low-range accuracy, and a high prozone limit. The linear assay range is 0.05 mg/dL to 30 mg/dL. Package inserts are available upon request.
