The O-Cyte 1 combines complete blood count testing, seven-part white blood cell differentials, and digital cell imaging, with configurations supporting up to 360 tests per hour.

Ozelle will spotlight its O-Cyte 1 automated hematology analyzer at MEDICA 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany, showcasing a platform that combines complete blood count (CBC) testing with artificial intelligence-assisted digital morphology.

The O-Cyte 1 performs CBC testing with 7-part white blood cell differentiation while integrating high-resolution cell imaging and AI-assisted classification directly on the instrument. By linking captured cell images to numerical results, the system allows laboratory professionals to inspect visual evidence alongside quantitative data during routine testing workflows.

Scalable Throughput and Service Design

Engineered to support varying laboratory testing volumes, a standalone O-Cyte 1 analyzer delivers up to 60 tests per hour, while a six-unit cascade configuration expands capacity up to 360 tests per hour.

To streamline laboratory operations and routine maintenance, the analyzer features an integrated reagent kit and houses key fluid-contact parts within consumables. The platform also incorporates built-in self-checks and modular, replaceable components to simplify fault identification and after-sales servicing.

The presentation of the system aligns with expanding clinical emphasis on verification and quality control in automated imaging. At its General Assembly on October 14–15, the International Council for Standardization in Haematology (ICSH) approved a new digital morphology standardization project highlighting the necessity of verification, reproducibility, and quality assurance in automated cell analysis.

Additional Diagnostic Systems on Display

Alongside the O-Cyte 1, Ozelle will exhibit the EHBT-75, which pairs 7-diff hematology with cell imaging and morphology analysis, and the EHBT-50, a compact analyzer integrating hematology, immunoassay, and dry biochemistry modalities. The company will also demonstrate Open Dx, an AI workbench built for report review and result sharing.

The instruments will be on display Nov 16–19 at Messe Düsseldorf in Hall 1, Booth D63.
