The GENFLEX Molecular System from Enzo Life Sciences is a high-throughput, automated, and scalable instrument for processing SARS-CoV-2 molecular diagnostic tests within a clinical production setting. The GENFLEX Molecular System is a flexible and fully automated platform, consisting of a pipetting module for sample extraction and PCR set-up and a qPCR module for nucleic acid amplification, detection, and data analysis.

The GENFLEX Molecular System can be used with any upper respiratory specimen (nasal, mid-turbinate, nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal swab specimens, and nasopharyngeal wash/aspirate or nasal aspirate specimens. It can also be used in combination with third-party reagents authorized under EUA. 

The GENFLEX has a high-throughput of 96 samples per run; up to two during an 8-hour shift. Turnaround time for the first run is approximately four hours and 30 minutes. Combining additional instruments will increase testing capacity.
