Liebherr Appliances, Miami, Fla, is debuting ultra-low temperature freezers (ULTs) designed specifically for the scientific and medical industry. An expansion of its Medi-Line series, the ULTs will be available in two sizes, with a temperature range of minus 40°C to minus 86°C, to provide safety, high performance, and ease of use demanded by scientific and medical facilities. “We are excited to broaden the scope of our cooling products into these important markets,” says Silvia Puigdemont, regional product manager, Americas, Appliance Division. “We are proud of the quality of these freezers and look forward to playing a part in offering product solutions that make the healthcare and medical community safer and more efficient.” The freezers offer temperatures that go virtually unchanged for months or even years. The steady reliability of the cooling system ensures the safety and consistency of biomedical materials and offers peace-of-mind to an industry increasingly looking for reliable cooling solutions. The ULTs are both environmentally sound and energy efficient, with green hydrocarbon refrigerants and unique insulation system. The new ULTs will be available in 500-liter and 700-liter and 115 V/60 Hz and a 208-240 V/60 Hz voltage version. Each ULT is outfitted with adjustable stainless-steel storage shelves and detachable stainless-steel doors, an emergency notification system to alert the users to temperature changes and power outages, secure access, ex-changeable multi-camera door seal, integrated defrost tray, and unloading ramp. Liebherr ULTs will be available in Fall 2020. For more information, visit Liebherr.
