The PCS pipette calibration system software tracks individual pipette performance, repair and usage history. The PCS is an instrument/reagent system for verifying volumetric delivery of laboratory pipettes. To use, the laboratorian dispenses an aliquot from the pipette. The instrument mixes the reagents and calculates sample volumes. Any number of data points can be taken, and a 10-point calibration takes less than three minutes.
The PCS automatically prints results for each NIST-traceable pipette including individual sample delivery volumes, group statistics, pipette serial number, date and user. There is an integral printer and a separate serial port for a second one. Data can be sent to a PC for custom report generation and pipette management.
