The collaboration aims to provide laboratories with a scalable alternative to traditional configuration models.
Clinisys, a provider of laboratory informatics solutions, announced a partnership with Decisions, an enterprise low-code and no-code orchestration and automation platform. The collaboration introduces a new approach to laboratory information management system (LIMS) and laboratory information system (LIS) configuration.
The partnership is designed to empower laboratories to adapt systems more efficiently without compromising operational control or regulatory requirements. According to the companies, traditional LIMS and LIS configuration often relies on development resources, which can create bottlenecks that slow change and limit operational agility.
Through this collaboration, Clinisys is integrating the orchestration, automation, and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities of Decisions into its platform. These tools enable laboratories to design, adapt, and manage workflows using visual tools and reusable components. By embedding this engine into the Clinisys platform, lab leaders can build and optimize workflows without relying on proprietary languages or vendor-restricted development tools.
“Laboratories don’t need more features; they need flexible ways to adapt workflows as their operational requirements evolve beyond traditional, code-heavy paradigms,” says Shay Hassidim, Clinisys chief technology officer, in a release. “This partnership puts configuration control and advanced AI tools into the hands of the laboratory, enabling teams to design and adjust workflows through visual tools while maintaining the structure, governance, and performance they require.”
The integration of laboratory domain expertise with an orchestration and rules platform is intended to help laboratories support implementation and system changes, reduce dependency on custom development, and support regulatory compliance and traceability.

This partnership supports an approach where systems can evolve with operational requirements while remaining structured, auditable, and traceable, according to the announcement.
