Clinisys announced the general availability of Clinisys Laboratory Solution v2025.3, an update to its informatics platform for healthcare and scientific laboratories. The release includes enhanced configuration options, expanded interoperability, and governed artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
The update introduces AI tools designed to connect laboratory data and workflows within a traceable environment. These capabilities are intended to support quality monitoring, instrument coordination, and operational insights while maintaining the human oversight required in regulated settings, according to the company.
AI Assistant and Configuration Tools
A specific feature of the update is CLS CARE, an AI assistant that allows users to ask questions in plain language. The assistant provides answers based on validated documentation to help staff understand system functions and application programming interface (API) capabilities.
The release also features a modernized approach to test configuration. This allows laboratories to design and maintain workflows with improved speed and control, supporting consistency and traceability for specialized and regulated testing. Additionally, the platform introduces the Gateway Module, an updated version of the LabOnline client portal that maintains existing ordering and results access workflows.
Expanded Integrations and Analytics
The version 2025.3 update extends workflows through integration with Clinisys Collect, a mobile application that applies specimen identification and audit controls at the point of care. For scientific environments, the platform now connects with the SciNote electronic laboratory notebook (ELN). This integration is designed to link experimental documentation with structured laboratory operations to improve collaboration and data continuity.
The platform also includes an updated analytics module that uses AI to help users identify patterns in operational performance and quality data. The system utilizes a cloud architecture intended to simplify installation and maintenance while allowing laboratories to manage the timing of their own software upgrades.
According to the company, the update is designed to improve efficiency through streamlined deployment and reusable workflows.
