This recently FDA-cleared software release (version 2.05) for the ABS2000 system improves the performance of the Blood Grouping assay.
This second-generation software will allow for STAT interrupt, “mini batches”, faster access to results, less maintenance, customized quality control, and other options.
These changes will be installed by Immucor personnel via a software upgrade. Immucor will lift the requirements for back up Blood Grouping on the ABS 2000 once the changes have been installed.
The ABS2000 walkaway blood processing system was introduced in 1998. This second-generation software upgrade improves the performance of the blood grouping assay and allows laboratories to realize the maximum system benefits. The ABS 2000 performs Blood Grouping, antibody screening, donor confirmation and crossmatch.
