pn15.jpg (11056 bytes)The BBL Port-A-Cul Transport Jar has a screw cap with a 1-inch wide mouth that allows for insertion and removal of tissue and other large sample specimens. The product contains a non-nutritive, pre-reduced transport medium that inhibits oxygen diffusion after specimen addition, and supports the viability of anaerobic organisms for up to 72 hours.
This jar offers advantages to operating room personnel who may otherwise rely on makeshift containers that are not intended to maintain organism viability and provide little or no protection to anaerobes (such as gauze wrapping or loosely covered Petri dishes).
