LabGard ES Biological Safety Cabinets

Features new energy-saving technology

With an emphasis on ergonomics, the LabGard Class II biological safety cabinets, from NuAire, Plymouth, Minn, have been designed with Energy Saver (ES) technology for lower operational costs. Engineered with a DC/ECM motor, LabGard ES consumes less energy, minimizes vibration, lowers noise output, and increases filter life. Standard oversized HEPA filters, optimally determined forward curved fans, and the HEPEX Zero Leak Airflow System help ensure uniform airflow and proper filter loading, increasing filter life. Cabinets are constructed of 16-gauge type 304 stainless steel, as a single-piece shell, eliminating leaks. Users have a choice of three control panel options, including TouchLink LCD touch screen controls.

Nexxis SDMS Validation Tool Kit

Web-based data-management system

Labtronics, Guelph, Ontario, Canada, releases its Nexxis SDMS validation tool kit to assist with the validation of Nexxis SDMS, a Web-based scientific data-management system that provides labs with secure central storage and retrieval of scientific data and documentation. The validation tool kit accelerates the overall validation process by providing detailed installation qualification (IQ) and operational qualification (OQ) documents that reduce the amount of time validation groups spend compiling the information required to initiate and execute a thorough IQ/OQ validation. Laboratories can use these documents as is or adapt them to meet specific in-house requirements.
