TOX/See™ is a one-step, handheld, point-of-care device for the qualitative detection of 14 of the most commonly abused drugs or their metabolites in human urine. New tests for oxycodone, buprenorphine, and propoxyphene have been added to a test menu of 11 other drugs (amphetamines, methamphetamine, MDMA, opiates, cocaine, PCP, THC, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, methadone, and TCA). With the ability to simultaneously detect 10 drugs in 5 minutes, the product is suited for the needs of emergency departments. Test results can be read for up to 1 hour. TOX/See™ features integrated test controls, easy-to-read results, and an 18-month shelf life at room temperature. The completed test card can be photocopied and archived for health and legal records. Each cassette is individually packaged.

New Captia Test Kits

Trinity Biotech introduces a new product line in the Captia family of ELISA test kits: The Captia QQ Product Group. The new kits will replace all current Captia Cardiolipin products. Trinity will soon introduce the Captia Gliadin, tTG, and 2 Glycoprotein QQ Captia Kits. One major advantage is the option of either quantitative or qualitative interpretation. The products also have ready-to-use reagents along with the XS Wash Buffer that is resistant to bacterial contamination. The Sample and Assay Check System makes the kit easier to use for increased accuracy and efficiency. A time savings is achieved due to the same protocol with shorter incubation times. The liquids are color coded, and the reagents have color-coded caps. Calibrators are color-coded by increasing coloration.
