Beckman Coulter President and CEO, Scott Garrett joined St Jude Medical Center President and Chief Executive Officer, Lee Penrose to present a Proclamation in honor of the hospital’s laboratory, which has achieved a 99.9% error-free rate in the analysis of patient blood samples.
St. Jude Medical Center’s hospital laboratory is fully automated – from the intake of a patient’s blood sample, through the analysis of the sample and the reporting of the results to the doctor, who uses the information to diagnose the patient and prescribe treatment.
Under the management of Ard Roshan, Director of Laboratory Services, the newly automated hospital laboratory has received a physician satisfaction rate of nearly 100 percent, despite a 21 percent increase in the number of patient samples sent to the lab for analysis.
