The Multiporator electroporation system features a combination of electronically regulated pulses in the microsecond range (patent pending) and a recently introduced buffer system to ensure optimum transfection.
It can be adapted modularly to suit the task at hand, whether it involves human or animal cells, plants, bacteria, yeasts or electrofusion. The optional integrated Bacteria module can be used for efficient transformation of prokaryotes.
This product also features an electronic circuit (patent pending) to ensure that the selected pulse parameters are maintained exactly, irrespective of the sample resistance; pulsing times in the microsecond range that can reduce the damage caused to sensitive cells; a hypo-osmolar buffer system to increase the transfection efficiency for eukaryotes; and an RS-232 interface for data printout.
