The point-of-care NycoCard HbA1c system provides test results in four minutes and allows physicians to monitor patient test results during routine visits and recommend needed therapeutic changes immediately.
This compact system with battery backup power consists of reagent, wash solution, membrane test device and a pen reader.
The test uses boronate affinity technology and is not adversely affected by the presence of hemoglobin variants or non-glucose adducts that can interfere with ion exchange or electrophoresis methods.
The unit’s results compare favorably with boronate affinity HPLC results. The test requires no sample pretreatment.
